thebakingcloud is the brainchild of power couple Nicole Voon and James Chua.

Est. in 2012 from a humble home in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Nicole was baking customized cakes and also corporate orders for companies.
Migrated and Re-branded in 2020, the home-based baking business has flourished to cater to hundreds of happy clients all over Singapore.
In 2021, They've made a huge step collaborating with Level Ground Bar, bringing their home-based business to brick and mortar.

Specialising in alcoholic desserts and also customised cake orders, thebakingcloud has gained the attention of many with their creativity and for getting people drunk on cakes!
​
Nicole, is a double diploma holder, having obtained her expertise in Pastry Arts from Academy of Pastry Arts Malaysia and Culinary Arts from SHATEC, Singapore.
​
She brings with her over 10 years of experience in the kitchen, from serving in 5-star hotels to quirky local cafes.
Nicole puts every bit of passion she has into all of her creations and takes your ideas from paper to oven.

To address out the business side of things, James brings his strategic marketing skills to the table. He handles their social media pages while balancing the books.
James is also a passionate barista with a strong love for coffee as well as alcohol. Combining both coffee and alcohol, he has come up with one of our specialties in the cafe, Alcoholic coffees.

After Nicole & James' little baby baker boy was born on 29th April 2021, they have since decided to move thebakingcloud back home so they could raise both their baby and business together.
